We get a lot of
email asking this question. Firstly, we are born-again,
Bible-believing Christians who believe the only hope for
man's salvation is to be found in Jesus Christ and Him
alone.
There are two
individuals presently involved with BibleDatabase development.
Christopher Fraley became involved with
BibleDatabase in November 2002. He brings vast experience in
large-scale software architecture and implementation having been
involved at high level in Microsoft as the Architect and Programmer
for Visual Basic, Architect of OLE Controls (a.k.a. ActiveX
Controls), Lead architect for Visual Studio Shell, Lead architect
for Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) as well as Co-Architect of
ActiveX Scripting and Designer of ActiveX Scripting API.
Chris has virtually single-handedly redesigned
the original BibleDatabase code from the ground up. No stranger to
serious development, future versions of BibleDatabase promise to be
spectacular as a result of Chris' gentle guidance and years of
high-end GUI expertise.
Chris is also into Classical music composition.

Then there is me. I'm Brent
Maurer - the "original" author of BibleDatabase (up to and
including Version 4.0.3). I have been involved in Electronic
[hardware] design and development for over 25 years and am actually
not a programmer by profession.
Originally BibleDatabase was
written in MS Access for personal use. Later, it became apparent
others could benefit from the software and that is how this site was
born. My desire is to make the Word of God freely available to as
many people in as many languages as possible.
This site has been truly
blessed by the arrival of someone of the stature of Chris Fraley as
he brings a level of experience and knowledge which is unsurpassed
in the industry. Beginning from the next release (Version 5), expect
to see BibleDatabase go from a great freebie to a World-class
software product, with features and enhancements not found in free
software.
We are committed to keeping
this product free.
