Most Bibles have around 31000 verses and between 15,000 and 20,000 unique words. Word Builder will "read" the and Bible (in BibleDatabase text format) and create a word list of the word and line number for each occurrence of the word in that Bible. The final output list is a comma-quoted text file which can easily be imported into almost any other application including MS Access, EXCEL, Word and any SQL Applications.

Word Builder has three phases:

Phase 1 - Read the Bible text and remove all punctuation. (Future versions of Word Builder will allow you to choose which punctuation to strip and which to leave. This can be necessary for certain languages where punctuation is not the same as English)

Phase 2 - Index All unique words. This is a multi-pass stage. Word Builder finds the first occurrence of a words, logs it then proceeds to find the line numbers with the same word for the entire text. (If a word appears more than once on a line, Word Builder will log it multiple times )

Phase 3 - Some words appear many times in the Bible. For example words like "the", "a", "them", "they" etc. During Phase 3, Word builder sorts the words by the number of occurrences. Words which appear only once are first followed by words appearing twice and so on. This is helpful particularly in SQL applications where extra searching wastes time.

Depending on the Bible, the output file is roughly the same size as the original - possibly even a little larger.
NOTE: Word Builder is case sensitive so "lord" is not the same as "Lord" or "LORD" for example. In future versions of Word Builder this will be a user defined setting.

Sample output from Word Builder (NASB). The numbers after the word represent the line number in the text. This can easily be converted to Book, Chapter and Verse to which it corresponds in the Bible.
