You may have noticed
we have many Bibles available for download on this site. Over time we
intend to add more - as many as we are able to find.
The whole idea behind
BibleDatabase is offer a FREE resource with Bibles in as many
languages as possible in order to spread the message of Salvation
through Jesus Christ. To do this, we obviously need the most important
ingredient - Bibles. There are many Missionaries, Scholars and
Theologians working right now, translating the Scriptures into
languages and/or other versions of the Bible not previously committed
to print.
If you are such a
person or organization, we urge you to give us the opportunity
incorporate your work into a BibleDatabase Module. Once in module
format, your work can then be quickly and easily shared with people
all over the Globe. Not only will your module be available for
download, it will also be immediately available for compilation into
HTML by the Free HTMLCompiler
tool. This means you (or anyone else) can turn the Bible you have so
carefully translated, over many years, instantly into linked web pages
to be read immediately over the World Wide Web - on our servers or on
your Web site if you have one.
An excellent example
of a recent and most welcome addition, is a translation of the English
KJV into the Thai language by Philip Pope, BIMI missionary to Thailand
since 1978. This Bible translation project was begun in 1983 and
finished in 2001. It will be printed in early 2003. You can visit

As far as the rights
go our policy is simple. If you translate a Bible or a portion of a
Bible into any language:

We will convert
it into a module at no cost to you,

We will host it
(the downloadable module) on our site for you at no cost to you,

We will host the
HTML Version (if you choose) for you on our servers at no cost to
you,

You must convince
us that you are the rightful copyright owner of the work,

You remain the
Copyright holder of your work (we don't want your Copyright - just
the right to offer it for free to others),

We will publicize
links to your site from the location of the module on our site,

We will add a
link from the main page to the HTML version of your work at no
cost to you.
